Aman Hamida
Founder and Director
Hamida is an Afghan media entrepreneur and founder of Begum Organization for Women (BOW). Born in Kabul, Hamida and her family fled the war to Switzerland when she was eight. She studied journalism and worked for the Swiss press when the Taliban regime fell
In 2001. Hamida rushed to Kabul and decided never to leave again, working for various NGOs supporting the Afghan media. In 2020, together with a few friends and colleagues in the field, she founded BOW, whose aim is to defend the rights of Afghan women through various media: Radio Begum, Begum Academy and Begum TV.
