Nicolas Hazard

Nicolas Hazard is a French entrepreneur whose commitment is based on a strong belief: the economy can and must be a lever for social and environmental transformation.

He is the founder of INCO, a pioneering organization in impact investing, which finances and supports entrepreneurs while offering training programs for the jobs of tomorrow. INCO deploys its initiatives in more than 140 countries.

Over the years, Nicolas Hazard has been sought after to provide his expertise to the highest political and institutional spheres. He notably advised Romano Prodi, former Italian Prime Minister, on economic and employment strategies, as well as on the Lyon-Turin high-speed rail project. He also chaired the Strategic Council of the City of Paris, paving the way for the successful bid for the 2024 Olympic Games, ensuring that they would be the first socially inclusive and environmentally responsible Olympics.

He has also supported several French ministers on social economy issues and has been a special advisor to the European Commission since 2020, under the presidency of Ursula von der Leyen and Commissioner Nicolas Schmit. His influence extends beyond France’s borders, as in 2023, he joined the advisory board of the German government on social innovation, alongside Minister of Education and Research Bettina Stark-Watzinger.

In 2022, he was invited by the U.S. Federal Reserve to present his book The Future of Work and share his recommendations for a fair transition in the world of work.
